Welcome to the brand new Central Mesa Veterinary Hospital Website

Central Mesa Veterinary Hospital, formerly Main Street Animal Hospital, is under new ownership. The new owners, Dawn Senter, DVM and Lou Senter, CVT, felt that the hospital needed some updating and they are in the process of making some bold changes to both the building and the medical equipment.

The building that houses Central Mesa Veterinary Hospital was neglected for a number of years. But a little TLC goes a long way. With a small budget and some wonderful friends, Dr. Senter and Lou have begun remodeling both the interior and exterior of the building. Their dream is to have both a functional, as well as a beautiful hospital to treat your pets in.

In keeping with the theme of updating, Dr. Senter and Lou wanted to advance the quality of care by instituting electronic medical records. We all know how terrible doctor's handwriting can be (Dr. Senter's is no exception) and how tedious it can be to try to find much needed information in a hand written record. Dr. Senter and Lou have decided to go "paper light" by upgrading their software to allow for your pet's medical record to be computerized. As you come in with your pets, we will be adding your information into our new system. It may take a few extra minutes to fill out some basic paperwork, but the resulting electronic medical record makes that little bit of time worthwhile.

Dr. Senter and Lou also wanted to be able to provide your pet with the best and most immediate care possible. The IDEXX line of in-house bloodwork and lab machines is another new addition to Central Mesa Veterinary Hospital. This equipment allows Dr. Senter to quickly and accurately diagnose a number of health issues your pet may be having the same day your pet is seen. There are still a number of more complex tests that will be sent to the outside IDEXX lab, but through the partnership between Cornerstone and IDEXX laboratories, your pet's lab results will be automatically downloaded into their medical record as soon as the results are available. Dr. Senter or another member of the staff will always call you with the results of these tests as soon as the results are sent. The Senter's goal is to have a fully integrated hospital so the staff can focus their time and energy on you and your pets, not paperwork!

In brief, there are lots of changes going on in and around Central Mesa Veterinary Hospital. We would love for you to stop in and meet Dr. Senter, Lou and the rest of the team. Give us a call at 480-964-9601 or stop in to say "Hi."
